Feel free to delete this if it's being discussed ad nauseum everywhere else, but what are the thoughts about (Bafta Winner no less) Bill Nighy being named as the next Doctor?
And if he's the ninth doctor, what does that make Matt? The Ninth Doctor with a slight cold? Hmmmmmmm |

and rowan atkinson is the comic relief 9th doctor, richard e grant (again!) is the comic relief 10th doctor, etc...
it's a potentially interesting discussion (and just barely on topic for this sub-forum), but one that can be quite easily addressed by making the following statement: these are parallel takes on the same fictional source text. nothing is certain. maybe.
