Bringing Dave Stone on board as a writer is quite a good thing for us, and he really seemed quite excited by the whole deal (instead of wanting to write just the one script for us, he's already told me that if he's able to, he'd like to write two scripts for us - and I wasn't about to say no, was I?).

Dave Stone isn't the only "professionally professional" writer I've approached this year to enquire as to working for us. There's at least one other author, whose name I cannot reveal at this stage, with whom negotiations are continuing, but the person involved hasn't given us an out-right "No!", but rather said we'll discuss it further after this weekend's Gallifrey convention.

Thanks for the praise Gareth! However, I hope nobody is thinking we're about to abandon our roots, and our home-grown writing staff. It's just that I'd dearly like to start expanding our writing staff to include a lot of other writers, so that they can work alongside our current staff, and everyone hopefully benefits from the arrangement!
