It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that I inform everyone that our planned 2003 stage play, Dragging Out The Corpses, has been cancelled. There were a variety of reasons for this, some of which I will go into here and now.
Basically, we'd been waiting on a confirmation back from the Lions Club for 2-3 months if they wanted us to do another play. In the end, they confirmed with us only 2 months before the planned performance date.
This didn't leave us much time to write a script, and cast it, and rehearse it. Although the script is written, I was unable to organise a cast in time, and so we've decided that it would be best if we cancelled it - we've got something to perform, just no-one to perform it.
However, fear not - the script is not being tossed into the bin. It was a great script with some witty dialogue, and so Witold and Darran are currently working on adapting it as a standalone audio comedy release, which we hope to issue this November. We've already got a fantastic cover by Sydney artist Brian Jordan, the man responsible for our Beyond Traditional Recognition covers.
I'll keep you all posted if there are any further developments, but if there are, they will definitely be in our BTR Audio forum.
