Just getting this news update thingy back to the top.
Oh, the voice-over for my announcer has just been finished, I'm just waiting for the Doctor, Adam and the security bloke now. |

Just as an update, I'm awaiting plot breakdowns from two new authors before giving them the go ahead and am assisting a third to develop a workable storyline.
Too early to talk about placement in Season One tho |

It's my pleasure to announce that the latest story to reach the scripting stage is "The Church of Insects" by Keith George Redhead.
This is a dark and surreal story set in an isolated religious settlement. Mysterious individuals endeavor to achieve transcendence from the mortal coil, but are they about to venture where angels fear to tread? Keith is an impressive storyteller who I feel will deliver an intense, psychological horror story which will explore the relationship of the regular characters and challenge their very identity. |

Wow. Sounds very good, very cool, very awesome. Love this kind of subject matter. It's why the Allan W. Lear AV scripts were my favourite, as they touched on this very same subject. It was my hope BTR would go in this direction, but alas, we didn't. Oh well - just as long as you guys do it, I'll at least be half happy.

Quote: you know, all you've ever had to do is ask. i might still be able to squeeze one in if you can be a bit more specific regarding precisely which aspect of keith's story reminds you of the style you like. nothing is certain. maybe.

Ok doke... It now looks like we have reached that bottleneck that I have been dreading for the past week or so. Yes, that's right, I'm talking about post prod
So that's it, it's now a matter of sitting back. Ok well that's not quite true, Ep4 of stroy one is nealy finished, it'll get emailed to James for him to destroy (LOL) I need to find a cover artist for er...the covers. The website had to be designed and ready for upload for when the first ep is ready er... oh yeah, one more thing (In two parts) The first season stories need to be finalised with teasers When we have a couple of full stories on-line, I'm going to ask for fiction submissions set in the DW universe we are going to create - THIS WILL NOT BE FAN-FICTION!, as the writers will not be writing about the Doctor or any of his companions. |

Quote: Well, if you guys need any assistance in the post-production field, let me know - I'm more than happy to do the odd episode or two, and tend to work quickly (no more than 7-10 working days on any one episode). Quote: Don't do that - keep things flowing. Keep your writers writing, keep your actors acting, and keep your sound guys, erm... sounding. That's the key to BTR's impressive release schedule - everyone is always doing something to contribute, and we never sit around and relax. Just because story one is done, doesn't mean you can't start on the next one. Keep up the pace! Quote: I thought you guys had approached Daryl Joyce? Quote: Honestly, I wouldn't worry about a web site. Just use the forum here. That way, you don't have to worry about HTML coding, and can just post messages containing links to the episodes. It'd be much easier that way. If I could re-do the BTR web site from scratch, I'd base it around the forum completely, with no web site as such to complement it. Quote: Well, my suggestion for offers of work would be to post standalone messages containing your job offers, and turn them into "Sticky Posts", so that they stay at the top of your forum always. |

matt,
it looks like you missed my post in which i commented directly to you and sought some further confirmation. it's possible you may want to discuss it off-board, but i thought i'd make this post in case you did accidentally miss it -- which would be fair enough, and several much more on-topic posts have since been made. nothing is certain. maybe.

Ok doke, we are going ahead with Buried Feelings as the first Flatliners story (This will give David a chance to get everything together for when he does TOLG) Matt, please respond so I know you received the script, hope you like it
Righty ho! It that casting call bit again. I only need two people Someone to play a seasoned Miner and another to play his young apprentice. Any takers? There are two walk on parts at the end of the story but I can sort that out. James! If you are reading this there is something you will now have to sort out. Due to Buried Feelings moving up to slot one, we now have a continuity error in TOLG so I want you to insert Kitty into ep one. |
