Some interesting developments for Sergeant Peters in Episode Two...

Yep, interesting indeed. We find out that he is, in fact, a trans-sexual alien rock who's homocidal tendencies can only by stopped by consuming large amounts of spinach boiled in llama's urine.

Let's hope our Witold has a sense of humour and doesn't quote me to death.

i won't quote you at all, ian -- though i can now see what you get up to while i'm asleep!
(well, it can't be much worse than what certain sys admin's i could name get up to while i sleep.) yep, i'm ready for ep 2, sure thing. i really must start to make a list of all the things i've got to do this week -- i've got about four storylnes to write for people, some bte dialogue to edit, a trailer to cut, lines to record for two groups... this is too much! nothing is certain. maybe.

It's on its way.

Re: For Sergeant Peters

initial impressions (which you've asked me in the email to post here) are that it's an awful lot shorter than part one. about half the length, in fact.
actually, that's about all i'll say for the moment as it's all i've noticed so far. of course, if you guys are after consistency of episode length, you can always start chopping and gluing in post-production -- it's always possible. but i wonder what cutting edge audios are after from their premiere episode. the script is about three times the length of the flatliners part one script! nothing is certain. maybe.

Quote: when you say 'premiere episode', do you mean the script for 'Shattered Mind' as a whole is three times the length of the flatliners part one, or that the CEA part one is three times the length of the flatliners part one? gah, i've even confused myself now... |

Re: For Sergeant Peters

and me! whatever it is you sent me in that mammoth word document, morgan, is three times the length of flatliners' first episode. if what you sent me is more than one episode, then that would probably explain it!
nothing is certain. maybe.

Ah yes. I just sent you the entire script for the story, even though your character only appears in episodes 1 & 4.

Re: For Sergeant Peters

Morgan...This is going to sound rather cheeky BUT... do you want to read each other's first story?

Re: For Sergeant Peters

Sure, that sounds like a good idea - maybe we can both give each other some pointers. Send your script to cuttingedgeaudios@hotmail.com. Let me know your e-mail address and I'll send you 'Shattered Mind'.

Re: For Sergeant Peters

ian,
i've had more of a flick through ep 2, and i've got to say that your bracketed alternatives for various lines pretty much all sound like improvements over the originals, so i'd recommend going with them. not that i'm wanting to steal your script editor's job, but you did ask for feedback, and i assume this thread's still about my character, so i thought i'd hijack it back. see, no complaining about hijacked threads here: i realise that all discussion ought to be valued, not just that which is necessarily on-topic. (sorry, just having a go at something matt will understand.) nothing is certain. maybe.

Witold,
Quote: That's exactly right Witold - I've always prided myself on knowing that the BTR Opinion Forum is a place whereby anyone can discuss anything related to media production, and not live in fear of being shot down in flames for daring to have an opinion which is contrary to any Sys Admin we could name. So yes, discussion is more than welcome here - that's why I pay for us all to have this board, you know... |

Hi Witold, I just thought that you should know that Sergeant Peters will be seen as an incredibly brave young man ALSO although something will happen to the NCO that rather stops his career advancement within the Quadrant military, he
WILL be copming back...In a fragmented sense (Work that out!) |

Re: For Sergeant Peters

sounds intriguing -- and there i was more than happy to just appear in the single serial. actually, i was more than happy to just appear in a single episode! as an actor, i appreciate that you're taking an interest in the character and hoping to develop him in interesting ways, and i look forward to suitably interpreting the role some more.
nothing is certain. maybe.

Its a role of two halves, or almost two characters in one, isn't it, ian?
