Morgan,
Quote: No problems mate! Normally I give you guys Mod powers without being asked, but this time I just forgot! Just ensure you don't abuse your Mod powers, and use them to ensure your forum remains a nice happy place (unlike that Neo-Nazi bloody floorten.com forum...) |

Ian,
Quote: Yes, I have indeed been following the threads this past week, and to be honest the entire attitude over there totally disgusts me - especially when it's coming from the Sys Admin himself, someone who has to take his rights seriously as the creator and maintainer of a web-based forum. I am just pleased we run a nice and happy forum here, and that despite the odd disagreement of personal opinion, for the most part people here are at least treated with respect. |

Just so you guys are aware, you've now both been assigned full Moderator powers for your respective forums. Please ensure that you abide by the general rules of the BTR Opinion Forum in making your decisions, as all Moderator decisions should be in the interest of keeping this forum a safe and happy place for people to visit, and post messages discussing topics with other people, or critically reflecting & discussing the work of others in an atmosphere that benefits all who take part.

Sorry to be a nuisance, but may I have a *TFG Script Editor* below my username?
You're looking very handsome today, sir |

Re: mkopelke | ||

although i'm not the guy to assign you an ineteresting descriptor, it's worth noting that the best you're likely to get is "tfg story editor", since ezboard has an objection to the word "script" on the basis on its links to javascript.
which is why i'm always "btr story editor", even though that title only really applies to what i do on beyond traditional recognition, and is far too american for me to like it. hence, when it comes to our actual releases, i'm always "script editor". though, to be quite accurate in terms of the entire btr infrastructure (my goodness, we have one!), i'd probably most accurately be described as "btr script department", as i am literally the whole thing, from script reader right up to script executive/script producer. oh, and i'm also "btr video department", but largely because i like to have crews of about three on our films. nothing is certain. maybe.

Witold,
Quote: When I set you up as "BTR Story Editor" I thought you said you liked the term, saying it was very much like the early days of the BBC? |

Re: mkopelke | ||
Quote: that was me acceeding as best i could to the notion that it's either be "btr story editor" or "btr ****** editor"! if you can change it without my being censored -- and i recall suggesting a method i'd researched at the time -- then i'd greatly appreciate it. basically, what you do is just put some useless code in the middle of the word, so you've got the "scr" part, then start and undo some italics, then write "ipt". so that way ezboard can't see the single word "script". nothing is certain. maybe.

Re: mkopelke | ||

Witold,
Quote: Well, as far as I know, the text box for setting the manual user levels doesn't accept HTML or EzCode, and so would treat any form of code as being raw text, and just stick it where it's been typed as going. I will look into it, but I am just now sure how well this idea would work. |

I've just realised that 'TFG' stands for 'The Flatliners Group'

Re: mkopelke | ||
Quote: that suggestion was offered to me when i enquired on the ezboard help forum, so i honestly don't know if it'll work either. but it can't hurt to try -- i mean, if it cocks up, i'll just go back to story editor. nothing is certain. maybe.
