Following the site/forum redesign, the chat-room wasn't working properly, and so I assume that is why it was removed from the forum. But will it be making a return, or is it permanently "on hiatus"?

It's not coming back any time soon, simply because so few people ever actually turned up. Most nights it was just David and myself in there for nearly 2 hours, and those 2 hours on a Sunday night I need now to do other things slightly more important.
